Bilateral Ties Between Pakistan and Uzbekistan Healthcare Organization

A visit was scheduled to Uzbekistan in October 2019 by Chief Operating Officer SES, Dr. Malik Imad Khan & Senior Manager SES Dr. Nauman Haider. Two historic agreements were signed, one between SHIFA INTERNATIONAL HOSPITAL AND TASHKENT MEDICAL ACADEMY (TMA), Tashkent, and the other between SHIFA TAMEER-E-MILLAT UNIVERSITY (STMU) & Fergana Branch of TASHKENT MEDICAL ACADEMY for collaboration in health care and education.

On September 17 & 26, 2020, a webinar on “Prevention & Diagnosis of COVID-19 was also arranged by Shifa International Hospital for senior faculty of the Fergana branch of TMA and doctors working at various regional clinics in Fergana.

CME: RECENT TRENDS IN GASTROENTEROLOGY

CME on Recent Trends in Gastroenterology on Friday August 11th, 2017 at Pakistan Auditorium. The event comprised of 03 presentations by Dr. Faisal Ikram (Dysphagia), Dr. Badr Zaman (Acute Severe Pancreatitis) and Dr. Faisal Saud Dar (Liver Transplant in Pakistan).

CME: ADVANCES IN HEMATOLOGY

A CME was conducted on Friday, 16th Feb 2018. Speakers included Dr. Taghrid Faek Elgergawi, Consultant, Maternal Medicine Latifa Hospital, UAE. She discussed in Detail “Iron Deficiency Anemia in Pregnancy”, effects on the fetus and infant and on the Outcome of Pregnancy. Dr. Kamran Rashid, Consultant Hematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant, Shifa International Hosp, discussed management of Acute Myeloid Leukemia cases. Dr. M Ayaz Mir,  Consultant Hematology/Oncology & Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant, Shifa International Hospital, spoke eloquently on Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant Program @ Shifa.
